In fact, so easy, I was able to actually install the murals all by myself!<br \/><br \/>For this project we thought we&#8217;d break things down into something we&#8217;re calling &#8220;3 Murals, 3 Spaces, 3 Parts&#8221;. There will be three posts, each one featuring one specific mural in three different space ideas in a mini-series of sorts.\u00a0 An entryway, a workspace atmosphere, and a living or dining room scene.\u00a0 We&#8217;re also going to show you how easy it is to make it all happen, from measuring to installing.\u00a0 So without further ado, let&#8217;s begin with Part 1!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-0b32713 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"0b32713\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-3fa826f\" data-id=\"3fa826f\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ef0342a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ef0342a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><b>3 Murals, 3 Spaces, 3 Parts<\/b><br \/><br \/>For our first mural we have chosen the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/society6.com\/product\/indigo-watercolor-3_wall-mural?utm_campaign=2062&amp;%20utm_source=passerbuys&amp;utm_%20medium=june2018\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Abstract Indigo Mountains<\/a>\u00a0by Jen Merli. For anyone who knows me personally I love the mountains, and I love indigo, so this combination in a watercolour abstract was really pulling me in.<br \/><br \/>Before we show you the other vignettes, first the installation.<br \/><br \/><b>Installation<\/b><br \/><br \/><b>You Will Need<\/b><br \/>&#8211; a ladder or chair<br \/>&#8211; a scissors and\/or xacto knife for finishing<br \/>&#8211; a spatula for flattening out bubbles<br \/><br \/><b>Step 1 &#8211; Measure<\/b><br \/>Before we ordered, we measured out the spaces we wanted to cover.\u00a0 Although not always the case, many of the murals on Society6 are four panels in width (each measuring 2 feet wide x 8 feet high) or 8&#8217;x8&#8242;.\u00a0 Luckily we had a wall that is almost exactly that, so this measurement worked out perfectly. If your wall is not perfectly that specific size, measure any angles or areas out, and cut the mural to fit accordingly. Measure twice!<br \/><br \/><b>Step 2 &#8211; Prepare the Walls<\/b><br \/>Before applying, make sure your walls and floors are clean of any dust, debris or grease. Remove any light or power switch covers.<br \/><br \/><b>Step 3 &#8211; Lay Out the Panels<\/b><br \/>To begin we rolled out each of the panels to ensure the order to which they would be applied. This can be a little tricky if there is a lot of repetition, so again, measure twice.\u00a0 Let the panels lay out for about an hour or so to straighten out a bit and to keep from rolling up when you do start applying to the wall. Carefully begin to apply the panel to the wall, starting from the top, slowly pulling down the backing behind the paper, and then using a spatula to push away any bubbles that might appear. Don&#8217;t panic if it doesn&#8217;t go on straight, the paper is strong enough and sticky enough to be pulled away from the wall and re-applied if needed.<br \/><br \/><b>Pro-tip:<\/b> When matching the design from one panel to another, you might want to snip a little of the backing off the matching panel on the left hand side, making it easier to match up the corresponding design, from one panel to another. (See diagram below).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section to trim around any barriers such as plug-ins, light switches, etc. Then finish off with their applicable covers.<br \/><br \/>Like I said before, I found the installation to be rather easy, it just takes a bit of getting used to at first, but installing shouldn&#8217;t take more than an hour to install a four panel mural.\u00a0 See below for how we styled three different spaces using the\u00a0<a
